Michigan GMC Dealers See GM Rise 10.9 Percent for May But Overall Industry Slowdown?

Michigan GMC Dealers and Others See Increase in Sales Numbers.
DETROIT – There have been a few months of very positive numbers this year already, which has lead analysts to have estimated certain expectations. Although Michigan GMC dealers saw increases from General Motors along with the other Detroit Three members, it seems the expectations were not made by most of the automakers according to some estimations.
Increased sales for the biggest automakers include the following:

General Motors seems to be still moving positively as it delivers more options to its consumers. Although GM saw the lowest percentage increase in May, it was the highest total since August 2009 for the company.
“GM’s sales in May were the highest in almost three years, and we are poised to keep delivering good news for the U.S. economy with one of the most aggressive new product offenses in our history,” Don Johnson, vice president of U.S. sales operations, said in a statement.
For its individual brands, General Motors also saw doubled-digit increases as Michigan GMC dealers helped in the total 19.3 percent increase. The other brands saw:
- Chevrolet 10 percent increase
- Buick 19.9 percent increase
- Cadillac 15.1 percent increase
As a whole it seems sales have shot up for the previous months of this year despite the constant changing consumer demands. Some analyses such as ones from Barclays and Edmunds.com showed automakers such as Ford came in lower than expected although the automaker came in higher than other analyses.
Michigan GMC dealers may celebrate the increase, but there are plenty more months before the year’s end.
