Lincoln MKZ MI vs. 2010 Buick LaCrosse MI
| We have all heard the GM challenge “May the Best Car Win” so I decided to take them up on it and conduct a comparison of my own. I closely compare two domestic car companies that are no stranger to competition Lincoln and Buick. My first comparison included a close look at the Lincoln flagship vehicle the 2010 Lincoln MKZ MI and compared it to the all newly redesigned highly promoted 2010 Buick LaCrosse.
First, I analyzed the vehicle specification data to see on paper which vehicle was better equipped through a cross section of the vehicle specifications including Engine, Handling, Comfort & Convenience, Safety and Warranty. Listed below in chart form are the results to this comparison. *Items in bold represent the vehicle with a clear advantage in designated option. |

| Although, the Buick LaCrosse offers more comfort and convenience features, more passenger room, more power under the hood and a better warranty a personal inspection of the vehicles is necessary to determine a winner. | |

To that end, I visited Michigan Lincoln dealers as well as Michigan Buick dealers to see these cars in person. Anxious to give the lower scoring Lincoln MKZ a fair chance the first stop was at an Michigan Lincoln dealer.
My first impression of the 2010 Lincoln MKZ was a positive one. I would define its aesthetic appeal as bold but trendy. | Then I went to a local MI Buick dealer to see if the 2010 Buick LaCrosse lives up to all of its’ hype. As I walked into the showroom I was immediately impressed by the appearance of the 2010 Buick LaCrosse that obviously took center stage in the dealer’s showroom. | 2010 Buick LaCrosse will be the benchmark for luxury sedan design for years to come. Sitting in the driver seat of the 2010 Buick LaCrosse can be defined in two words, “Pure Luxury”. The smooth leather appointed interior was gorgeously highlighted by a stunning wood trim and ambient lighting. It is clear that the dullness is gone from the Buick Lacrosse and has been replaced with quiet tuned excitement.
After reviewing the data, visiting both Michigan Lincoln dealers and Michigan Buick dealers and seeing the 2010 Lincoln MKZ and 2010 Buick LaCrosse in person anyone would determine the best car is clearly the 2010 Buick LaCrosse. The best car has won and in this case it is in fact a Buick.
