DETROIT, M.I. – MI dealers may follow the new plans and projects of General Motors and may have heard of the more recent venture that GM has jumped into. General Motors announced yesterday that it is investing $44.5 million to build a Logistics Optimization Center at its local Lansing Grand River Assembly plant.
This new center will deliver 200 new jobs into the industry while also making the process to build models such as the Cadillac ATS and three models of the Cadillac CTS even easier. The investment will build a 400,000-square-foot building next to the assembly plant where parts will be sequenced and assembled to better streamline the manufacturing process.
